Arsenal vs Tottenham – Spurs more consistent than Gunners
Tottenham Hotspur finished as runners-up in the Premier League title last season. The Spurs would like to repeat last season’s performance. Tottenham hope to close the gap on Premier League leaders after this next match with Arsenal. A game between Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur is something you just can’t miss. The last three meetings for these clubs at Emirates Stadium have ended in 1-1 stalemates and Spurs haven’t won at this venue since 2010. Overall, it will be a difficult game for both teams and another tight contest is likely here. The Gunners will meet the Spurs at 12:30pm BST/7:30am ET on Saturday 18th November 2017 at Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal lost to Manchester City 3-1 last weekend but were second best for most of that match in our view. The Gunners manager Arsene Wenger got aggravated at a penalty awarded to the Blues and felt their third goal was offside. The Gunners were grateful to goalkeeper Petr Cech for keeping the score down. The substitute forward Alexandre Lacazette did make a goal to make it 2-1 just after the hour mark. Arsenal looked vulnerable on the counter-attack as their central defenders could not keep up with City’s pace and movement. Arsene Wenger’s side have scored in 21 straight home games versus Spurs and should create chances again, but we’re thinking both teams to score in this fixture.
Tottenham Hotspur were not at their best when beating Crystal Palace 1-0 at Wembley this last weekend. It looks like the Spurs are suffering some kind of hangover from a 3-1 Champions League defeat of Real Madrid. The Spurs midfielder Dele Alli was out against Crystal Palace due to injury. Forward Harry Kane left the game with 15 minutes to go. The backup goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga had a great performance. The manager Pochettino hailed the Argentine goalkeeper as an unbelievable option to have at his disposal. The experience gained from being involved big matches should stand Tottenham in good stead. Sportsbooks Games thinks the Spurs now look more comfortable in such big fixtures. They have a four point advantage in the Premier League table and that will allow them to play with more freedom. Spurs are strong on the counter-attack and we like the chance for an away win.
Tottenham Hotspur prepares to take on Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday
The Red Devils have beaten the Spurs at Old Trafford for the past three seasons. Over the years, Manchester United has almost won twice the amount it lost in this fixture. However, the Spurs under their new manager Pochettino, have achieved victory in two of the last three encounters. This fixture has produced plenty of excitement in the past and this game will be no different. Both sides are level on points right now in second and third in the table. This Premier League matchup is scheduled to kickoff at Old Trafford on October 28, 2017, at 12:30 pm BST/7:30 am EST.
Tottenham Hotspur were very impressive with a 4-1 thrashing of Liverpool at Wembley this last weekend. Harry Kane was at his clinical best with a double strike and midfielder Dele Alli took on a deeper role. The Spurs appeared to be always in control despite having possession just 36 percent of the time. Tottenham looked to be back in good form after some patchy performances at the start of the season.
Manchester United was playing cold early last weekend and lost 2-1 to Huddersfield. Huddersfield showed much more hunger and desire and took a 2-0 lead. The Red Devils forward Marcus Rashford scored a 78 minute header that failed to spark a late revival. Huddersfield beat Jose Mourinho’s side by taking advantage of a lack of pace in their build-up play. The Red Devils forward Lukaku has seven goals in eight appearances for Manchester United this season. The Red Devils need to produce a strong response in this high profile fixture. This fixture has two of the best managers and two of the best strikers in English football going head to head. Sportsbooks Games think a fast tempo game will result with more goals being scored than is usual between these sides.
As Liverpool FC await, Tottenham Hotspur needs to do more at Wembley Stadium
The Tottenham Hotspur fans should feel relieved as their side managed to finally win a game at home. The Spurs won 1-0 against Bournemouth but find it really tough to produce the kind of performance they would have liked to deliver. The Spurs defensive performance in home fixtures is pretty disappointing as of late. With Liverpool coming next week, manager Mauricio Pochettino knows that his team will have to do much better if they are to avoid losing more points at home. This Premier League fixture is scheduled to take place on Sunday, October 22, at 11 a.m. ET / 4 p.m. GMT at Wembley Stadium.
Liverpool FC has won just once since August and it appears they have lost a little bit of their form. However, The Reds remain unbeaten when playing against the Spurs in 10 games. Not since September 2011, has the Tottenham club managed a win over Liverpool. This is an opportunity for manager Jurgen Klopp to turn the tide for his team and propel it back toward the top of the league. Liverpool goes into the game eighth in the league, four points behind the Spurs in the Premier League table. Klopp does not have his star forward Sadio Mane, so far this season, for six weeks due to injury. He now has just introduced midfielder Philippe Coutinho into one of the league’s most lethal attacks.
Tottenham Hotspur FC is in form with seven wins in the last eight games. The Spurs forward Harry Kane has been prolific. Harry Kane is one of the Spurs most important players. The 24-year-old has already scored six goals in eight league appearances for the club. The real problem is that none of those goals came at Wembley, the Spurs home ground. The Spurs are finding it hard to secure points in home fixtures. During the Spurs win last Saturday against Bournemouth, their defense was exposed on more than one occasions. At home in Wembley Stadium, manager Mauricio Pochettino has seen his team win only once in the Premier League. Sportbooks Games gives Liverpool an edge, who has enjoyed success at Wembley, winning 20 times at the national stadium.
San Antonio Spurs at Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 3 of NBA Playoffs
The Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday pulled off a surprising win in Game 2. They handed the San Antonio Spurs its second home loss of the season. The Thunder is looking forward to to seize control playing on their home floor, with the series tied at 1-1. The Spurs starters logged a majority of minutes in Monday’s Game 2 loss. In a long series the close games will likely benefit the younger Thunder. However, the Spurs should be ready with three days off to take on the Thunder in Oklahoma City on Friday. The game between the San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder will take place on Friday, May 6, 2016, at 9:30 p.m. ET at Chesapeake Energy Arena. The matchup will be broadcast on ESPN.
The San Antonio Spurs dominated Game 1 of the series against the Thunder. Game 2 was very different and was closer to what most analysts thought. The Spurs didn’t play well in Game 2. The poor shooting by the Spurs cost them a chance to go up two games in this NBA series. The Thunder barely escaped with the win. With 13 seconds left in the fourth, the Thunder went from an inbounds play and ending the game with free throws to clinch the win, to defending their goal following a turnover.
The Oklahoma City Thunder played a really good game 2. After loosing badly in Game 1, they responded with crisp ball movement, the shots were falling, and they pressured San Antonio. The Thunder is having trouble stopping power forward LaMarcus Aldridge. After going off for 38 points in Game 1, Aldridge scored 22 points in the first half of game 2. He kept the Spurs in the game after they fell into an early hole and he continued to pick apart the OKC defense throughout the night. Aldridge needed some help on Monday in game 2, but didn’t get it. Top Sports Blog thinks the win by the Thunder on the road is a huge momentum boost, but the Spurs will get their game back in a hostile environment and pull off a win.

English Premier League – Liverpool host Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham Hotspur still has to think it has a shot of reaching the top of the Premier League. This soccer match at Liverpool will be a tough one especially with the Reds still clinging to European hopes. The Reds are hosting this event, but they’re going against one of the best three teams in England right now. Neither side is a an odds-on favorite with just a slight edge going to Liverpool. The 31st match for league 2nd place holder Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool, who are on 9th place currently with 44 points after 29 matches, will take place on Saturday, April 2, 2016, at 12:30 p.m. at Anfield. The soccer match will be televised on NBC.
Tottenham Hotspur easily beat Bournemouth and Aston Villa in their last two domestic soccer matches, however Leicester City keeps winning and that putting the Premier League title more in doubt. The Spurs have finished the job against the teams which they should be beating, but they aren’t playing at their best against the best teams in England. Tottenham never had a shot against Borussia Dortmund in the Europa League, but they have been impressive in the Premier League. The Spurs lost Nabil Bentaleb two weeks ago to a knee injury that might cost him the rest of the season. That’s a devastating blow to a squad which had stayed relatively injury-free for much of the campaign. Ben Davies has a facial laceration, but we’d bet he plays for Mauricio Pochettino on Saturday in such an important match. Jan Vertonghen is close to returning from a knee injury, but he won’t likely be ready for this match.
Liverpool has not been playing up to their potential right now after blowing that game at St. Mary’s Stadium two weeks ago. Liverpool was beaten 3-2 against Southampton after leading 2-1 late in the game and Christian Benteke missed an easy chance. That ended a run of eight straight matches with at least a point for the Reds. In a soccer match which is expected to be this close, the only result we could possibly forecast is a draw.
